Too hot to handle!

Yesterday I tried hot yoga for the first time. I love me some yoga and I love hot weather! You’d think I’d love the two of them together, but boy was I wrong! About half way through this class I was dying. Drenched and dripping everywhere in sweat, irritable from the heat and unable to perform the movements right because I was getting all light headed, I was not a happy yogi. I wasn’t even able to practice my head stands and those are my favorite! At the end of class when I’m usually feeling completely zen-ed out, relaxed and at peace, I was instead moody, exhausted and couldn’t wait to get out of there! It’s always good to try new things, but I think I’ll just stick with my warm yoga classes!
Choppity Chopped Salad
This salad is great because really you can add whatever ingredients you like! No need to follow the recipe exactly, fine tune it to your favorite toppings.
A bed of spinach, chopped
1 cup chopped cucumber, salt and peppered
1 cup chopped bacon, cooked
1 cup chopped ham, cooked
1 cup chopped peppers
1-2 hard boiled eggs
Drizzling of olive oil
Mix all the ingredients up in a big bowl or artfully arrange them on a plate!

    Give hot yoga a try a few more times before giving up. don’t eat before class, drink A TON of water before and after, and if you have to – just sit down on your mat when you feel light headed – then get up and move again when it passes. it gets better!
