It’s February 3rd and this Cheek has still not eaten any sugar! I’ve thought about it, but that’s as close as I’ve come. I know a massive sugar hangover is on the other side of that sweet little moment of sugar pleasure. Righty has suggested that I don’t waste my sugar on any junk ie. my drug store holiday candy obsession. I need to raise my sugar standards and not just cave for any sugary little temptress. Another friend suggested I need to work on eating only moderate portions of sugar so I don’t bring myself to the brink of a sugary demise every time I want to indulge. And yet another suggestion was to eat only Paleo style desserts with honey, dates or agave used as the sweetener. They thought this may not push me over the sweet edge of addiction as much as flat out processed sugar. Sugar strategies – this is what my life has come to. Ha!
Steak and Eggs
2 Cups Broccoli, Chopped
1 LB Steak
Salt and Pepper
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
If you have leftover steak, feel free to use that for this recipe, just chop it into cubes. If you do not, then first cook your steak. Salt and pepper your meat. Preheat your broiler to high and add steak. Cook until rare, approximately 3-5 minutes per side depending upon the thickness of your steak. Remove from broiler and cut into cubes.
Preheat 1 Tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add broccoli and steak. Cook about 2 minutes. During the 2 minutes whisk your eggs in a small bowl. Add eggs, salt and pepper. Continue to cook, stirring the eggs often to create a scramble. Cook until done.
Add a splash of hot sauce for an extra kick!
