Breakfast Super Seeds!


This delightful little pile of mush is my new powerhouse go-to breakfast!  As some of you may know I recently found out I have a raging allergy to egg whites.  I was annoyingly breaking out with acne despite my “healthy” diet.  I’m happy to say cutting the eggs down to once or twice a week has made a HUGE difference.  Being an everyday 2 egg breakfast type of Cheek though, this put a crink in my morning routine.  That is until I created … Super Seeds!!!  This combo of superfoods is quick, filling and delicious!  The perfect morning trifecta.

Breakfast Seeds

In a large tupperware combine equal parts chia seeds, hemp seeds, and buckwheat.  Nope!  Buckwheat isn’t wheat, it’s a seed!  Learn more here from Oprah.

Add about a Tablespoon of cinnamon and 1/2 cup of raisins.  Close the tupperware and vigorously shake until everything is thoroughly combined.

For one serving, mix 2 Tablespoons of seeds with 6 Tablespoons of coconut milk.  Let it sit for about 5 minutes to thicken (as you dry your hair or put on makeup or get dressed :)  )

From here you can microwave it for about 30 seconds to eat warm (I prefer this way), and/or you can add extra raisins, diced apples, goji berries, bananas, etc.
